BOWENWORK

We are excited to be able to offer a new healing modality, Bowenwork.  Often called “the homeopathy of bodywork,”  Bowenwork is a soft tissue remedial therapy that resets the body to heal itself.

Like homeopathy, which uses a minimum quantity, or dose, of a substance to precipitate healing, Bowenwork utilizes a minimum quantity of movements, or moves, over the muscles and connective tissues (fascia, tendons, and ligaments).  Like homeopathic remedies, these movements are safe, gentle, and precise, and stimulate the body’s innate healing capabilities.

Bowenwork was developed by Thomas Ambrose Bowen in the 1950s in Geelong, Australia.  In his clinic, Mr. Bowen treated thousands of people with varying health conditions, acute and chronic.  His students, Ossie and Elaine Rentsch, founded the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia in 1987, calling the technique Bowtech - The Bowen Technique.  Ossie and Elaine have introduced this therapeutic modality to many countries.  Health professionals are impressed by the effectiveness of  Bowenwork and the diversity of health problems addressed by it.

What Kinds of Health Problems Can Be Improved or Eliminated With Bowenwork?

Torn Iliotibial Band and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

   I am so grateful for your Bowen treatments! My torn IT band on the top of my left thigh hadn’t healed in over a year and a half. I was feeling frustrated because every time I would squat down to pick something up, I would re-tear the muscle. After only a month or two of receiving your Bowen treatments my IT band has completely healed. I haven’t felt any further pain at all! It’s now been several months ago and I am so amazed. I had tried massage, rolfing, physical therapy, and nothing worked.

   I also realized last week that your Bowen treatments on my right arm, neck and shoulders had almost completely healed a condition that I’ve struggled with for almost eight years. Although it took several months of Bowen therapy to reach the present state, my carpal tunnel is almost completely healed too! I was told after many tests, physical therapy, massage, and various treatments that surgery was the only solution. I chose not to proceed with the surgery and I am so glad I did! I was doing some spring pruning in my yard the last few weeks, and it suddenly dawned on me that I no longer have the burning, aching pains that would usually be the result of pruning. Migraine Headache and Fatigue

    I am not prone to getting headaches and I have never had a migraine before in my life until recently.

The pain was so unbearable and intense that I could barely do anything! For a mother of two very young boys - this was a serious concern. The migraine lasted for about 6 days before I had received the Bowen treatment from Dr. Bobritskiy. After the initial treatment alone, the pain had dissipated by 90%. Not only was the pain completely gone by the following day, but my energy level was back up to normal. WoO HoO!!!

   I am FOREVER GRATEFUL and I would strongly recommend the Bowen treatment to everyone for whatever their health concerns may be.

Frozen Shoulder, Bone Misalignment, and Knee Pain

    I had the good fortune of receiving Bowen therapy at Dr. Bobritskiy’s office earlier this year.  I had surgery several years ago and as a result ended up with a condition known as frozen shoulder--can’t move your arm, very painful.  Two years later I was still suffering from its effects.  After just a few Bowen sessions the pain (which had persisted for two years) was gone and has not returned.  What a huge relief, physically and mentally.  In addition, my clavicle bones (which had become majorly out of alignment, by about two inches) came back into alignment.  In one session, alone, I could see a big change in the position of the bones!

    Another benefit I received from Bowen has to do with my knees.  They had become so painful I had to stop my morning walks.   This went on for five months.  After doing a few sessions my knees began to improve.  The pain disappeared and I can now resume my normal walks!

    I had never heard of Bowen therapy before.  Now, I can’t say enough about the benefits I’ve experienced.  I’m also very appreciative of Dr. Bobritskiy’s office for their work.  Getting out of pain and being able to move around and do what you want to do makes a big difference in life!
